Waterfront Director
Reports to:
Camp Director
Job Purpose:
The Waterfront Director is responsible for all aspects of the beach and waterfront.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Beachfront Supervision & Program
- Canoe/kayak Instruction
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Waterfront Director is expected to:
- Model good Christian leadership, in accordance with the mission of Camp Christopher and adhere to the Camp Christopher Covenant.
- Work in team with the Camp Director and Program Lead in the area of program development and leadership.
- Set up, take down and maintain the waterfront area.
- Plan and supervise all water activities.
- Implement the “buddy system” and practice emergency procedures regularly.
- Regularly check waterfront equipment and report needs to the Administrator.
- Submit a final report of inventory, programs, evaluation and suggestions at end of summer to Camp Administrator.
Qualifications
- They must have the following minimum qualifications (per SCA standards):
- Have current NLA Certificate
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Have First Aid/CPR C
- Provide a Criminal record/vulnerable sector check
